Programmes

ECCT is equipped to build climate adaptation and resilience capacity in agriculture through a variety of programmes including;

•  Farmer training workshops – Farmers will have access to better information concerning climate change, short-term weather forecasts and smart farming methods.
  
  
•  Field Visits – Field visits allow farmers to see how climate-smart methods compare to conventional farming and see the benefits.        
• Farmer support – with the current weather patterns being unpredictable within a single season, communal farmers require constant source of credible information and advise on when and how to adapt.                                        
• Conservation programmes – These include activities such as tree planting and gulleyreclamation for better catchment management.
